National Chocolate Chip Day is celebrated each year on May 15. At Tiff's Treats, we recognize the holiday with a week-long celebration of chocolate chips! Some might say we wouldn’t be where we are today without them. This year, we offered customers a FREE chocolate chip cookie when they visited us in stores on May 15. And of course, we had our fair share of cookies at HQ, too! It easily might be one of our favorite days of the year.
Did you know… National Chocolate Chip Day celebrates and honors the invention of chocolate chips from way back in 1938! American chef, Graves Wakefiled, added chopped up pieces of semi-sweet chocolate to her cookie dough recipe, and the rest is history! Instantly, her idea spread far and wide, and soon chocolate “morsels” were widely sought after for baking, gift giving, and more. National Chocolate Chip Day is celebrated each year around the world because who doesn’t love chocolate chips?!
What makes Tiff's Treats chocolate chip cookies ooey, gooey, and oh-so special? A lot of things! From our melt-in-your-mouth dough to our perfect baking time to our fresh and warm delivery, customers (and employees!) just can’t get enough. But what’s the real secret ingredient? Our very own custom-made chocolate chips! That’s right - before we decided to craft them ourselves, there simply wasn’t an option extraordinary enough. Here we are 25 incredible years later, and we couldn’t be more proud of our chocolate chips.
