Caramel Apples with the Twins!

October 15, 2024

Tiff and Leon’s twins, Tristan and Taylor, are taking over the kitchen once again! This time they’re showing us how to make Caramel Apples… the right way!

Follow along with Tristan and Taylor here:

Ingredients:

  • A whole bunch of big, green apples (the bigger the apple, the more surface area for decorating with the good stuff 😉)
  • Skewer sticks for each apple
  • 2 bags of individually wrapped caramel pieces
  • Favorite candy for decorating (instead of all the boring adult stuff)! Tristan and Taylor chose mini M&M’s, Nerds, Sour Patch Kids, mini marshmallows, gummy worms, and Halloween sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. Wash the apples
  2. De-core the apples and insert one skewer stick into each
  3. Make the caramel: Unwrap caramel pieces into a glass baking bowl, add heavy whipping cream, and heat until liquid in microwave
  4. Separate the candy for decorating into separate bowls, big enough to fit the apples for dipping
  5. Once the caramel is ready, dip your apples (skewer-up) into the caramel
  6. Then, dip the apple coated in caramel in the desired bowl of candy
  7. Place apples on a baking sheet or parchment paper once finished.
  8. Tada!!!
