World Gratitude Day is September 21

September 16, 2024

Happy Gratitude Week from Tiff’s Treats! World Gratitude Day is this Saturday, September 21 and we’re dedicating our whole week to it. Cookies and gratitude go hand in hand, and we can’t deny the impact both can have!

Did you know?

The celebration of Gratitude Day started in 1965 in Hawaii when an international gathering decided that it would be a good idea to have one day per year to formally express gratitude and appreciation for the many wonderful things to be found in the world.

World Gratitude Day is the easiest way to kick off the rapidly approaching Holiday season. With Thanksgiving a little over a month away, as well as heartwarming holiday festivities, we want to take this week to express gratitude. Celebrating gratitude and thankfulness is the perfect reset after a busy, fast-paced summer as we transition to the busy fall months and rapidly approaching holidays.

There are so many ways to celebrate, even if that is simply taking a few moments to recognize the people and things you’re grateful for. Here’s a short list from some of us to inspire your own reflection:

  • Family near and far

  • The first cool fall breeze of the season

  • Your work wife

  • Unexpected phone calls from friends and family

  • When the library gets the new book you’ve been waiting for

  • Kids’ busdriver who always picks up and drops them safely with a smile

  • An invitation to dinner

  • Laying in a hammock by the lake

  • Routine coffee break with your work besties

  • Getting groceries delivered

  • A good belly laugh

And, of course, we have to mention that we are thankful for warm cookies! Is there someone in your life you’re especially grateful for? Check out our Instagram every day this week for the opportunity to send a surprise cookie delivery to a deserving organization or individual.
